Turmeric Latte

I woke up this morning and it was cold and cloudy. The weather app says it's supposed to rain all weekend, which means snow in Lake Tahoe, which means winter is coming. And I can't WAIT to go frolic in the snow this weekend!

 

With the weather getting cold, it's important to take extra care to stay healthy and vibrant so that you can really get out and enjoy this beautiful season. Try this health elixir infused with all kinds of delicious, healing spices. Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, is heart healthy, and a cancer fighter! Did I mention it's a beauty food? Turmeric makes your skin glow!

 

This recipe was literally pulled from a coupon book, and is an advertisement for Spice Island Turmeric. Some people consider turmeric an acquired taste, but give this yummy, sweet latte a try. Add more maple syrup if you'd like it a bit sweeter.

 

 

 

Ingredients

 

2 C Almond milk, unsweetened

1 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp maple syrup

1/4 tsp ginger

pinch of cayenne pepper

 

1. Combine all ingredients in small pot over medium/high heat. Whisk until combine. Enjoy!
